The Intersession Woes

I am not going to lie. I am struggling. My physical and mental health is suffering.

Yes, this is my first blog post and this is not how I pictured what my first post will be as an MPH student. I thought I will be quite energized to tell you how I want to share what I have learned so far in the academe.

But being in school AND working equivalent to a full-time job is stressful. And then when COVID-19 happened in March, my anxiety was through the roof.

Now, in the Intersession semester (the school term from May-June), there is an endless to-do list that is begging to be finished, homework to do, readings to skim, and I realized remote learning was not for me.

The fast-paced nature of this term plus the online delivery of the courses was a little too intense and quite frankly, it's a little hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

For quite some time now, I have mixed feelings of being in school. I love what I'm learning and the community that I am in, but when reality hits, it does hit you hard on the face, you may as well be knocked-out in this round.

Hoping to be better soon,

Joy
